Slippers and a Comfrotable Couch

I sit here on my couch, computer on my lap, IPod music in the background, sun coming in, cup of tea...is this the NEW workspace?
Now that I am not in a salary paying job, I find that I have less time available! I can't even remember how I was able to do a full time job and get all of this "other" stuff done!

I really know why this is happening to me. I do not like to sit still. I need work, excitement, challenges around me. SO I just go out there and find it. My philosphy has always been that you just never know. You just never know who you are going to run into while you are involved in different activities.
What I mean by this is that I run into people all the time who say they are unhappy with their jobs. Wish they could do what they love to do, (though many of them are not exactly sure what that really is). Just wish they could be doing something else.

SO, if you are like me and in a "nonpaying" current job situation, this is the time to discover what is out there! It is best to put yourself in situations that are maybe not as familiar. If you have always had a passion for drawing start hanging out with artists, frequent gallaries, sign up for classes. This can be an informal way to network.

For me, I would like to find a career in Marketing and Development, so I have associated myself with different community nonprofit programs, small businesses and those already in a marketing job. As long as I keep these relationships, I am sure that I will find a job that is right for me.

Please share any advice or comments that you have.
Thank you!
